The infamous orange-striped tomcat, Heathcliff (from the comic strip created in 1973 by George Gately), splits his show with the Great Dane, Marmaduke (from the comic strip created by Brad Anderson). Marmaduke, though well-meaning, is constantly getting himself into all kinds of trouble. Heathcliff (voiced by Mel Blanc) continues to terrorize his adversaries, including Spike the bulldog, the garbage collector, and a restaurant cook. "Dingbat and the Creeps" was an occasional segment on the show. Two regular shorts rounded out the show: "Marmaduke's Riddles" amd "Marmaduke's Doggone Funnies."
