I haven't seen this advertised, but then I don't watch much TV. I'll have to see if it's still in a local theater.

Looks interesting. I have it on tape read by Dahl, so it'll be fun to see how a movie can be made out of a rather simple plot. Looks like they're adding a lot in.

I hate to say this (I hope I don't let anybody down) but being English, I can see that Roald Dahl would be spinning in his grave on the account of that film.

When I, Robot came out in theaters, Isaac Asimov hit 12,000 RPM. They always wait for the author to die before doing adaptations. It makes it easier. Exceptions being Rowling(not allowed on set, too profitable), Paolini(too young to know what he's signing) and Meyer(profiteer). The studio that owns the right to The Last Unicorn has been waiting for Beagle to die for decades. He's wanted to make the movie himself, but they're hanging on.

At first I thought it was going to be stupid, but then I watched it with my nephew and I actually love it. I would recommend watching it if you get the chance ;3

I also do not have TV connected at my place so I was unaware of this movie.
So far, I am not caring too much about the cast list (Clooney and Streep.) Those actors are scoundrels and will likely try go off on a hackneyed political bent at some point in the movie. But I am sure they have to "pad" the story with a lot of filler.

Here's hoping it won't be like the atrocity that "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" became after it went to full length feature film.
I will have to see it and get back to you.
