Any one else a fan of this show?

I remember back in the day, when the telly channels used to put shows of this quality on during the holidays, and this was one of my favourites. Then they released it on DVD, so I bought it and even today, it stands up well.

I'm a big fan of Jim Henson and the Muppets in general and I definitely like The Storyteller. Very cool puppet versions of myths and legends and fairy tales from around the world. Very Happy Cool John Hurt does an excellent job playing the titular character as well.

Do you have the DVD's MacGyver?

Truthfully, I got them because Pat Roach was in one episode, and Pat was my all time favourite wrestler, but I always remembered the Daedalus episode, the first one from the series I saw, way back when.

No, unfortunately I don't have the DVDs. I wouldn't mind getting them at some point though. That show comprises one half of a late '80s series I wish would get a full DVD release- The Jim Henson Hour. It's one of the more forgotten about Muppets series, but a pretty good one from what I've seen of it.

Had a little look on Wiki about The Jim Henson Hour, as I don't remember it being shown here, but it says one episode did, but, I've never seen it. Looks a fun show too.

Technically, some components of the show have been released to DVD, beyond just The Storyteller. (But unfortunately- none of the Muppets segments just yet. [i.e. Kermit and the gang]).
