I'm posting this for my sister whose husband thinks she imagined this show. I have searched and searched online, but am no help to her.

She says:----I am looking for info on a 1980's show or maybe from 1990. I don't know the name of it (that's what I'm after) but the main character's name is Galaxia. She was metal and fought for good in outer space. She had a flying horse. They made a doll that was a little bit bigger than a Barbie. Her voice was super high pitched and metallic

Sounds like a strange amalgam
of silverhawks/Melodia, and
Golden Girl Guardians of the Gemstone

Where'd you watch it ?
Was it on a video ?

CWhat else does your sister remember ?

Does this toy sound familiar:

"When it's time to sleep, Celeste and her magical dragon Galaxia bring on the night! Adventurous Celeste and adorable, but shy, Galaxia tow the moon in place and pull the starry night across the sky. Celeste and another Moondreamer friend can ride through the twinkling sky on graceful Galaxia."

Moondreamers Episode 1

They are semi-metalic in their dress and had some animal friends. No horse, but a flying dragon named Galaxia. Best of all it was in animation, books, and toys.

Toy page:

Moondreamers Toy Page

Maybe? Confused

passed up that character several times because i though they
were describing a human.

second/ third -hand descriptions always seem tricky.

She said it's not Moondreamer. It is a person, not an animal. She watched it in Florida in 1990, but thinks it was on before she started watching it. Several of her family and friends have done searches online and can't find anything. It's kinda funny.

series sci-fi as in Silverhawks/Galaxy Rangers
or
oriented towards younger children like My Little Pony?

im starting to think this might be a mixed memory.
Any cartoon popular enough to have been backed
by a line of toys/dolls as you mentioned shouldve
left more of a mark.
Several databases searched no hits.

It was on TV and was a bit more like Silverhawks than My Little Pony or Moondreamer type. She was silvery/purple and even her hair and face were that metal.

The only thing I can think of is Sailor Galaxia from Sailor Moon. But she wasn't fully metallic, nor did she have a horse. And you probably already came across her in your searches. I am coming across things that check some boxes but nothing that hits them all.

Like Straydogs says, a character with a toy tie in should leave a better trace. But if anybody can find it, it's Straydog. Too bad your sis can't remember more. Sad

Yeah, she said it isn't from Sailor Moon. Maybe she really did imagine it. Smile Thanks everyone for trying to help!

You mention a doll....perhaps it was Spectra from mattel? or how about Aurora from tonka?

those are the only metallic dolls from the 80s I know of.

Well, your sister probably did imagined this, but thatīs no reason for you to go with empty hands! Take a look around, this forum is full of forgotten memories in almost every corner.

In fact, this very section is rich in that kind of things. Enjoy Very Happy

Maybe Elektra from Spaceghost's Teen Force? She did not have a horse, but she did have a space bike.

This one has been buggin' me for a while now. One last shot in the dark...

Galaxina full movie link

End on a low note. No toy. No horse. Not a cartoon.

Bright side she is metallic. Not the best voice. Her name is pretty close to what your sis says she remembers.

Like I said, on a low note, maybe your sister remembers scenes from this horrible sci-fi movie. It is all I have left.... Shocked
