I don't know what's the deal with the obsession some people seem to have over it.

It's OK, funny at times, but not that great. Surprised at how big the fan base is. I prefer South Park Twisted Evil

No offense, but I don't like either one. I personally find The Family Guy, South Park (and similar shows- American Dad, The Cleveland Show, Bob's Burgers, The Simpsons, etc.)- basically the entire "Adult Swim" programming line up- to clash very much with my values and I don't watch them.
Now I must also admit I have seen some of all of the shows I've named at least in passing. (i.e. channel flipping)- and I have watched full episodes of some. And the sad thing to me is- these shows can be very funny and can even make some valid points- but they are also crude and vulgar many times (i.e. with displays of gross violence, sexual immorality and foul language- not to mention that a number of these shows are sacreligious at times and have had blasphemous depictions of Jesus Christ, Whom I hold and call as my Savior and Lord- so that in particular is grievous to me. However, for the record, I have also seen other religions mocked on The Family Guy- Hinduism and Islam in particular come to mind.) For the parts that are genuinely funny and not vulgar, I do enjoy those bits (namely The Family Guy's and The Simpsons' funny references to older TV shows and movies, etc.)- but not everything else.
So anyway- that's my personal view of such shows. When I think cartoons, I'm thinking cartoons that are generally aimed at children and that can be enjoyed by the whole family. I'll pass on these adult-aimed animation shows. (Some of which can arguably be called animated sitcoms really- just as The Flintstones and The Jetsons could be called that too- and I love The Flintstones and The Jetsons- I'd gladly take those over most any TV programming today. Smile )
I don't mean to disparage anyone who does enjoy the Adult Swim type cartoons- you are welcome to enjoy whatever you want to watch. For me personally, I have some issues with these shows and that's why I don't watch them- so I'll just have to differ with people on this one. But it's cool- no offense meant to the fans. As Weird Al said in "Couch Potato"- "You can watch whatever you want, man." Smile Cool

"I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No man comes to the Father but by me." - Jesus (John 14:6)

"You can do anything you want to do if you put your mind to it."- MacGyver

"Thunder...Thunder....Thunder...ThunderCats...HOOOO!!!!!!"- Lion-O
