A song that's stuck in my head for years... What is it? :(

Here's the song lyrics I remember... Although they may not be quite right!!...

At first I was sure it was from David and the Gnomes, but I could never find a connection there...

I never could find out what is was... I've scoured the internet before, and anyone I sing it to just thinks I've lost my marbles.

Honestly, I have no idea... But it's more likely to be late 80s... If I could find the title of the song I may have a chance Razz

I too remember this song and I also thought it came from David the Gnome but alas, no. I would sing it in my head from time to time. Even now and I'm 35!

Well this is a blast from the past!

It's the end theme tune to Wisdom of the gnomes. I'd never heard of David the gnome but from a quick look on YouTube it seems to be perhaps the forerunner to wisdom of the gnomes?

Thanks so much for answering this question, Oddfella. Yes, "Wisdom of the Gnomes" is indeed the follow-up cartoon to "The World of David the Gnome". ("Wisdom of the Gnomes" ran in Spain originally, by the way- but it apparently later came to Nickelodeon in the USA and other stations around the world.)

I found the little gem. Kept coming back here to post it only to find the servers down. I left it 3 more weeks to come back and find it's been solved. Still - it's a fond memory for me. Some days I'd sing it while playing football in those endless summers of youth. Ah, the good times.
