Hello my fellow 80s cartoon afficianatos. Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Bilbo.
Does anyone here remember the Sat morning show that ran around '84-'85 that was a live action show where the kids would turn into cartoon versions of themselves? The show would air music videos. It wasn't a particularly good show but for some reason, it bothers me that I can't remember the name.
Also, can someone tell me the name of the Japanese cartoon that featured a space ship that looked like a Naval battle ship w/ a laser cannon sticking out of the bow? This aired in the early 80s.

They probably won't mean anything to those outside the UK but these shows were my favourites. I still enjoy watching them today.

| It had a short, chubby chap in a white space suit and a bunch of taller minions in identical but black suits. Both had red eye pieces I think (or possibly slit visors) and looked a little like Death Star gunners from Star Wars, though their helmets were stretched vertically. They were on some sort of moon facility and I remember the white-suited chap being sad when the others left. |
