| They have up to Season 6 of the old TMNT on DVD now. Keep buying 'em, folks (they're cheap, so you have no excuse)! We want the remaining 4 seasons!

| Very cool. I wished they'd start releasing them in R2 though!

I really wish they'd start releasing this over here in region 2 (Ireland in particular considering it was animated here!)
Anywho while I would agree that I'd rather a complete season box set getting the toys is pretty cool even if they are only mini ones.
Edit: Have to start proofreading before posting!

Just checked and they're down as Ninja.
To be honest I'm a bit disappointed. I watched it for years and the song has become ingrained in my mind with hero in it and it always sounds odd when I listen to it on youtube or something and they say ninja.
Oh well I'll get over it!

| Ma-ha! I just read on wiki why it was called Hero instead of Ninja. Wow! I thought we were bad with censorship. No nunchaku for Mikey? And yet Leo's katanas were okay? and so were Raph sai? Really? Ma-ha!

| I believe it had something to do with some nut case who attacked someone with nunchucks (can't remember any more detail then that I'm afraid) and once the british government decided to have it censor the rest of R2 got effected.

Well, even on the American version of the cartoon, you can notice that somewhere after the first 2 seasons or so, Michealangelo pretty much drops his nunchuks altogether and starts swinging his grappling hook rope as his weapon. Yep- censorship was weird and seemingly inconsistent sometimes- well, it still is really.
(I mean- in the 1960s, we were able to have The Human Torch on TV with The Fantastic Four cartoon, but in the 1970s he had to be replaced with H.E.R.B.I.E. the Robot! [who is in fact part of actual Marvel continuity, by the way! LOL]) Oh well- whatever.
At least the cartoons are getting released. I'd still take those 3 shows there over most everything on TV today.

Hmm - that might have been the brits fault. They may have decided that taking the nun chucks out was worth saving the R2 market but that's just a thought.
I thought Human Torch was taken replaced because his rights were tied up in another project rather then for censorship reasons
