i've been searching through google for the last few nights and i can't seem to find out what this cartoon was called, i saw it while i was really young so i don't remember a lot, just remember i used to always rent it from the video place when i visited my grandparents so really want to find out what it is for a bit of nostalgia. ok here's what i remember
i think it was a feature length animation, i'm guessing japanese, a kid had a giant robot, it might have been dark blue, he controled it (i think from inside the head) by these cable type things that attached to his arms and legs and made the robot do the same movements that he did, i think the robot might have had a sword (might be getting mixed up with voltron there though),
sorry if thats too vague to jog anyones memory but any suggestions would be great

Here's an Italian site with an assortment of
giant robot animes
View Rough Translation through Babelfish
Please keep in mind that animes often have several versions
/remakes/sequels/oav etc.
There are at least 4 versions of Gigantor dating
from the mid 60's(b/w) to 2004
