Need help identifying an 80's cartoon MOVIE

Hi Guys,

Wondering if anyone can help. I remember Watching an animated movie when I was a kid and I have been wanting to track it down for years.

There were no words in the movie, just animations and music. There was a young man who was the central character, he had a white horse (perhaps a flying horse) and in another part of the movie there were 2 black horses that may have had orange or red hair on their heads. There was some evil character that separated the boy and the horse/horses.

I thought it may have been the last unicorn but that wasnt it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you SOOOOOO much I actually never thought anyone would be able to identify this one for me but I just posted the question on the off chance.

I am currently watching it on youtube and reliving my childhood, I remember this movie from when I was 5 years old (I am almost 30 now) and I loved it then and love it now.
