There's a cartoon from around 1985 that I haven't been able to track down. It's kinda like Kidd Video, that they're trapped in the 'flipsisde', however it's more surreal and it doesn't break off to cheesy videos. I think it might be like the goonies trying to find there way back to their home dimension.
The theme song, from what I can remember, reminds me of the car's song:"You might think I'm crazy, but all I want is you." I remember a blowdryer chasing them in a clip from the opening credits.
Can anyone help me remember this? I haven't been able to find it anywhere.

| Hmm, the only thing that's coming to mind is Galaxy High. Do you remember if the cast of characters were in a band like Kidd Video or where they just two high school kids? |

It wasn't Galaxy High. And it was more than two kids. It would be like the goonies lost in other dimensions.
I remember being disappointed to find out it was Kidd Video instead of whatever the cartoon is I'm trying to remember. It was that similar.

| So similar to Kidd Video that it had a live action intro where a live actor gets transported to a cartoon world? Because the only other one like that I can think of offhand is Captain N: The Gamemaster.

It was pure cartoon. No brand names or movie characters involved.
It's been on my mind for years, and I figured the answer would come. Now I've done some research and still can't find it. My brother's not around to help me remember it. He's 8 years older than me and would have better memory than a 6 or 7 year old.

I hope I'm not just thinking it's not kidd videowhen it really is. I've been watching episodes and I remember watching kidd video.
What I could have done is segregated my memories. I remember disliking the video part, so what if I treated as a different show in my memory, changing the channel as soon as the music video came on...
But that doesn't explain the blow dryer chasing them in the opening credits.
One episode has surfaced to my memory. It has potential to be what I'm thinking of or it could be a kidd vid episode. One of the guys has a chance to send them back to their home world/dimension with a wish, but the locals they're with need to go back also, and when he makes the wish he tries to cram them together but messes up and they all end up magically back at the local's home, and all hope is lost, because when are they ever going to get a chance like that to go home again?!
I dunno. Thank you for your help. I'm going to keep watching kidd videos and see if anything rings a bell. (Specifically, I'm looking for the huge blowdryer)

10-Q. I haven't found that episode yet. I really liked the surreal cartoons. Alf the Animated Series was also one of my favorites also. I must have rejected the corny bits(opinion) I think the cats and Master Blaster went into the same category as the Kidd Video's performances. (I was listening to Severed Heads by the time I was nine)
Thank You for helping me figure it out. Keep up the good work.
