Hey HerbertWest! Great to see you posting here today. Smile And great topic!

Wow- I think you named most all of the best 1982 movies. Here are some of my favorites (in no particular order), which you named already.

The Dark Crystal (as a big Muppets fan and Jim Henson fan in general, this is definitely a favorite!)
Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan (I'm also a Star Trek fan and this is one of the best movies ever!)
E.T.
Tron
Swamp Thing (a great superhero movie based on the DC Comics character)
Rocky III (LOVE the Rocky movies!)
Tootsie
Bugs Bunny's 1001 Rabbit Tales
The Beastmaster

And here's some other good ones I would have to add:

Annie (yes, I love some musicals- and I do remember seeing this one a lot as a kid.)
Gandhi (Best Picture of 1982)
Deathtrap (a Christopher Reeve thriller movie)
Grease 2 (because I love a lot of movie sequels that a lot of others don't-lol)
Heidi's Song (a Hanna-Barbera animated movie based on the classic Joanna Spyri novel about Heidi of Switzerland- love the book and H-B- so it's a natural.)
Mighty Mouse in The Great Space Chase
The Toy (a great Richard Pryor and Jackie Gleason movie- I thought it might be pretty goofy at first, but I caught it on TV once and it really had a poignant point at the end- good stuff.)
Timerider: The Adventure of Lyle Swann (got to love time travel movies mixed with motocross dirt bike racing!)
Trail of the Pink Panther (the classic Inspector Clouseau movies!)
The Man From Snowy River (classic movie the later TV series was based on)
The Shadow Riders
The Wizard of Oz (Japanese anime movie- one of the few anime productions I like- mainly adaptations of classic literature)

Well, I do for one. Very Happy Cool Plus, some of my favorite TV shows ever started in 1982, including G.I. Joe and Family Ties. Very Happy Cool
(I don't want to stray too far from the movies theme, but I thought I'd just throw that in there. Also, Fame, Silver Spoons and Square Pegs also started that year- also great shows. Smile )
