80's cartoon with swords posibly 90 not sure

I remember a cartoon with 4 or 5 guys all having swords. These swords would allow them to some diffrenet each. I believe that they were also able to combine them not sure on that if you can help I thank you

Are you talking about author and the knights of the round table? (not sure on the name) bunch of present day football player that were transported to the past by merlin to replace the knights that had been captured.

No that not it either It was more simliar to TMNT but not. This cartoon I know was short lived.

i think your trying to figure out the same cartoon I am. does this cartoon have them call mechanical animals to fight.... (them inside controling them) then combine to be one huge dude?

nope sorry i remeber voltron actually seen it the other day this cartoon was also very short lived
