HELP identify a superhero cartoon from the early '80s

I vaguely recall a team of 5 (perhaps high school students) that possessed special powers... I'm rather fuzzy on the exact details, but am certain there were segments of live action between the cartoons (with actual actors playing the animated characters).

...does this ring any bells?

I've been trying to discover the title of this Saturday morning show for almost 2 decades, and would be grateful for any assistance in the identification of this program!

(for the sake of elimination, I can confirm that it's not Superfriends or Wonder Twins, but is definitely from the same era.

you might be remembering the Hero High Segment of The Kid Super Power Hour with Shazam!

I have never seen that show but the theme song's singers SUCK! The theme song sucks, too. Terrible acting onstage in that opening.

...i'm sorry, i can't tell if their song is good or bad because i'm distracted by the horrible costumes.
