Legend of Zelda OVA

All I have is this scan from the original NES Legend of Zelda booklet:

I remember actually seeing this animation before on TV, I believe it was on when Super Mario Bros. Super Show first premiered during one of the episodes.. It was before they started with the actual LoZ cartoon series that we all know about today which is on DVD and has 13 episodes.

All I remember was it was a short clip about Link going into a labyrinth(possibly preparing before entering, going to a merchant and a fairy), ducking and hiding from an Armos in a secret passage, and being followed/hiding from a large shadow(Ganon?). PLEASE is anyone else has info on this(a video would be PERFECT), or even remembers it, HELP! I just want to see it again.
