New section posted. I'm sure I've missed stuff in there, so post info on other cartoons that are available. I'm working on S-Z next!

Only region 1? Because there's a ton of toons available complete and remastered in region 2 and 4. I have a great list already compiled if you do want to do a list for different region DVDs that are not yet released to region 1.
Also, just a suggestion- I don't think you should list them by volume, you should just list the series and whether it's complete or incomplete, it will get a little confusing- for example with the Godzilla series, there's 3 volumes but the series itself is incomplete on dvd in its entirety. Where as COPS has 2 volumes and is the complete series. Maybe just list how many volumes are released like this "Godzilla - incomplete series, 3 volumes released" or "COPS - complete series, 2 volumes"

Also I think it should be noted on series that while complete, they are edited or syndicated episodes. Dungeons & Dragons would fall under this category (although the region two DVD set is the complete unedited episodes)

Wink

Yes, I didn't mention it, but I do plan to move on to other regions. I reserved a post slot for that.

Thanks for the tips. Please keep making suggestions. I am trying to figure out how this will go moving forward. Maybe "(Complete, but edited)" and "(Incomplete and edited)" tags for the ones that I know are more than slightly edited. I'm first trying to hit the big wins by just getting a list posted and going back and editing in details after, but I do want to indicate such things.

Also, I'm starting with Amazon to pull together the list, and then afterward I'll go back through the list for shows that I didn't find there and see if I can find them elsewhere. Usually if something is available, Amazon has it, but not always.

I'm definitely surprised with just how much we do have available on DVD these days. It's so different compared to when I started this site. Often in those days, you were lucky to find a short video clip or sometimes even an image of many of the cartoons. Now a hefty portion of them can be bought or otherwise found. It's exciting. Smile

My first pass on Region 1 is complete. I'll be updating it and adding to it this week. I'm also updating web pages and working with volunteers to get some interesting things done around here. If I can get to Region 2 this week, I'll start on it, but I wouldn't count on it.

I noted a couple of spots where episodes were edited, as suggested, and I'm keeping an eye out for that but I might miss things.

This list looks amazing! I'm sure it will be very helpful for quickly finding DVDs for favorite 1980s cartoons. Very Happy Cool
