| Yeah...i know it's been a long time...but this still drives me nuts. Anyone able to offer advice on another way to attempt identifying this sound clip's origin? Thanks!

To add to our torture, the original clip now says "Not found"._________________

I know this is an old post, but after a looooong time recovering a damaged hard drive I have the soundclip and it's ready for some identifying! THanks!

Should be able to download or just stream it from there. Thanks!

I'm sorry, I have no clue what this music is from. However, it reminded me of Thomas the Tank Engine a little, and that made me think I know where it's from.
Dr. Snuggles, however, I totally forgot about. I can't believe you just dropped that into my lap, thank you so much.
I'll definitely keep looking out.

Wait, hold on...sorry to double post, but when I was real little, there was a cartoon where the title character was a pink...girl thing. I think she was often accompanied by a professor and some kids, and I think she was able to take different forms, like that of a star. (For some reason, I think her hair was a prominent feature)
The show, if I remember correctly, was science themed. This song reminds me of it very much, even though I have like 3 half-solid memories of it. If anyone picks up which show I'm talking about, check out the theme.
By the way, don't bust your ass too much with my idea, I come from a different continent, so half the toons I watched probably never even got into North America. But the majority we share in common.
Like, there was this one with flying bears (literal translation would be something like "Flying Teddies") which were colorful bears with insect wings, and that I thought was from NA, but I don't think so anymore. Forgive me if I shoot off some obscure cartoon, haha.

That's it, I can't believe you dug it up. On the site, they mention Maya the Honey Bee which I also watched and associated with that cartoon. Weird.
But I'll be damned if I can youtube "Meme" without 72 pages of 4chan culture. So much for the themesong.
(Edit: it's awesome how I completely ignored the smaller link. Nevermind youtube.)

Of course right after uploading the file again I decide to give SoundHound a shot (it's like Shazam) and it identifies it! I guess as was previously suggested, it's not from a cartoon or anything.

Bob James - Sign of the Times! (as was suggested by IceMage)
For whatever reason, the full song (in particular the intro) was not readily available online back in 2006 and using the amazon sound clip wasn't enough to confirm.
