I barely remember this, and it sounds familiar too.
Shot in the dark guess: Could this theme be from The ABC Weekend Special : The Secret World of Og?
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0306059/
I remember seeing this special a couple of times as a child but have never come across it since, and have not managed to acquire a copy to watch again nor verify if the intro theme matches what we're hearing in these clips.

Hello all,
This thread (and board) was refered to me by Iceman, who thought I might be able to shed some light on the sound clip in question.
Unfortunately, near as I can tell this piece of audio is not from the ABC Weekend Special: The Secret World of OG. I'm lucky enough to have a copy of the show, and while there is a similarity in the audio sampling, it isn't the same.
Sorry I couldn't be more help. Strangely, I too think the audio is familar, and something tells me it may be from a British cartoon series. I'll try to do some sleuthing and I'll get back to you all.

I don't know if it helps but I did some digging and found out that Warren G's song Regulate uses a sample from the song Sign of the Times by Bob James (1981).
Listen to a sample of Sign of the Times at Amazon.com here:
Music clip from Amazon.com (Windows Media format)
I can't find any reference to this song ever being used as the theme to a cartoon or other animated feature, however. The warbling synthesizer is so close as to be mimickry, however - maybe it's a different Bob James tune on the original clip from the one Warren G used?

| This is a nit pick, but I have to call you on this one. Warren G sampled Michael McDonald’s – I Keep Forgettin’ (Every Time You’re Near) - 1982 for Regulate. It's the intro of I Keep Forgettin' looped with stronger bass.

That's cool.
I like it when rap artists use the beats from 80's tracks. You hear it and it sounds so familiar and if it's done right it's good in it's own right. I can think of quite a few I'd like to see get used, but that's off topic.

| Go ahead and keep bumping it. This one's bugging me, too. I modified the title and put (unanswered) in there so people know to look at it.

| I somehow remember a show which i believe was british: unfortunately i don't remember the name, but there was an old lady mostly wearing a pink/purple greenish dress or something and it mainly played in a cursed forest. There where human kids, prolly a girl adventuring around with funny little creatures... From the style and quality i think its from '82 to '85. Will post again if i come up with some more memories.
