On the VH1 channel there was a program about the best toys in the 80's and a hula hoop was voted number one. You gotta be joking. There were so many other toys a hell of alot better than a hula hoop don't you agree?

I think that show was for all toys..ever. I remember seeing lincoln logs and legos on there and I think both of those were way before the 80's.
Oh yeah and twister! That was before my time for sure.

Transformers by far were the best toys of the 80's. Who else in here will agree with me?

GI Joes & Legos were my favorite growing up. I used to spend days building cities with the Legos, sewers and all! LEGOMANIA!
hehe....remember the end of the Lego commercial...."legomaniac not included." huh? uh duhhh!

The 80's were also great for all the "sets" toys they had,
especially all the "mad scientist" type sets toys, or the
contrsuction-building tots.

I didn't see the special, but a toy from the eighties I don't see brought up often that really deserves to be is the Ohio Arts' Zaks collection. I spent hours in front of the TV, watching my Sunbow and building every single thing they included in the directions, then trying to make up my own designs.
