During the 80s, I can't help but remember all those fascinating actors and actresses so far who made it big. And some could still be big up to now. So who are the most popular actors or actresses for you in the 80s?

I have to consider Tom Cruise for Top gun, hmm phoebe cates- date with an angel, brooke shields- sahara, Harrison Ford- Indiana jones, christopher reeves- superman, jennifer conelly- labyrinth...hmmm help me out...cant' remember the others...

Got to agree! He too invaded the 80s with his franchised movies " back to the future"... And speaking about Michael J. Fox , I also love his movie " The frighteners" but it was already in the 90s...

Speaking of the 1996 movie "The Frighteners"- you might like this blooper from the movie.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9WoDFRik_ko

It seems Michael J. Fox can't remember which movie he's in! Very Happy

And I would also say that some of my top 1980s actors would be Michael J. Fox (Family Ties, Teen Wolf, Back to the Future trilogy), Harrison Ford (Star Wars, Indiana Jones), Tom Cruise (Top Gun), Tom Hanks (Bosom Buddies, Splash, Big) and definitely Richard Dean Anderson (MacGyver)

And what do you know? They're still my favorite actors today! Very Happy Cool

That was awesome! Ha ha....never seen such a confused Michael J. fox .

Oh yes, Wish also to add on the list of those who rocked in the 80s are the cast of " St. Elmo's fire", Rob Lowe, Demi Moore, Emilio Estevez, and etc. The flick was indeed a success during that year. And did Patrick dempsey made it through the 80s as well?

Hmm- I'd definitely agree on Mr. T!!! (The A-Team and Rocky III) Very Happy

And Lynda Carter IS Wonder Woman! Definitely one of the best superhero TV shows I've ever seen. Very well cast.

And Christopher Reeve!!! I can't believe I didn't mention him. He IS Superman! I love all 4 of his Superman movies- he certainly gave it his all every single time.

(By the way, his name is just Reeve. Reeves is another famous actor- George Reeves- who starred as Superman on the 1950s live action show- The Adventures of Superman! (one of the best Superman TV series ever!))

Very Happy Cool

I LOVE this video. It's a fanmade video set to Five For Fighting's "It's Not Easy (Superman)"
It features footage from all 4 of Christopher Reeve's Superman movies! I love it!

Charlie Sheen is a great actor! I particularly love him in Red Dawn (along with Emilio Estevez, Lea Thompson and Jennifer Grey), and Ferris Bueller's Day Off!!!! (Along with Jennifer Grey, Mia Sara, Alan Ruck and Matthew Broderick!!!) Very Happy

And one of my favorites- with both Charlie Sheen, Kerri Green (whom I also love in The Goonies!), and Corey Haim-

Lucas!!!

Yes- that's definitely Charlie Sheen in the red jacket...

And wow- the guy in the glasses is kinda scary- he really does remind me of one of the Garbage Pail Kids! Surprised

Oh yeah- and you gotta have Mouth! Very Happy

It'd be nice to see Corey Feldman and Corey Haim doing some more movies nowadays... (or at least more recognizable well known ones that I'd actually be interested in seeing)

It seems some of those stars of the '80s just kinda dried up their fame- and they're never heard much from again...Until "End of the Spear" released recently- that was the first I'd heard from Chad Allen since "Our House"!!! Very Happy

Wow- I'd about forgotten about that- yeah, a few years ago there was a rumor going around about reuniting the whole cast and making "The Goonies II" (by the way, such a title already exists for a Nintendo video game!!! No joke!) http://imdb.com/title/tt0186172/

But it'd be neat to see the movie happen- I definitely love the 1985 original movie.

Yeah! I'm quite excited about it too. But I do hope they keep the original cast. So any further news about it so far? Developments?

Here's a shot of the gang from The Goonies from a 2001 reunion.

And according to this- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Goonies

Richard Donner had a storyline in place for a sequel- but Warner Bros. wasn't interested- and it doesn't look like it's happening anymore. The picture I posted earlier was from a reunion for the release of the movie on DVD, by the way.

Also, check out TheGoonies.org for more info on The Goonies.
