Hi guys,

I got approval to open a new forum that focuses on the title above.
I will post very soon a list of owners of rights of a series from the 70's and the 80's, which as you know, are either forgotten or intentionally not released.
Frequent changes in ownership, mergers and closures, have made it almost impossible to follow who owns what and who makes what.

I think that a place like this forum that everyone can bring info about any changes might make it easier to keep up with the changes and help contact companies.

I hope that you will contribute to this forum.

Happy New Year. Very Happy

Most of this is incorrect. All Ruby Spears and Hanna Barbera productions are both actually owned by Warner. Or Specific production companies (example: Sectaurs miniseries was produced by Ruby Spears but since Sectaurs is the property of 5 Seasons, they own rights to the animated series.) Ruby Spears and Hanna barbera no longer exist as independent companies. Ruby Spears was bought out by HB, HB was bought out by Warner. Warner now owns both former companies.

Marvel productions are owned by Disney. Saban bought Marvel productions, Saban sold all Marvel properties to Disney when Disney acquired Marvel Comics.

SharpFork,

If you go back to my posts in the past you'll see that the details in them are as you posted here.

My list refers to the in between years when there were lots of buy and sell and repositioning in the production industry.

It would be helpful if you could post the best updated list and maybe details that are not usually available to the public.

I already wrote about how Disney brought ABC Entertainment Division, Ruby Spears was bought out by HB, and then HB was bought out by Warner Brothers, and Marvel productions are owned by Disney. As we know changes in ownership are constant. The importance of being aware of these changes is because we might guess what the companies’ intent is.

When new information pops up, if the source of that information is reliable, then we might want to check further until we prove that it’s accurate enough to bring it to interested members, post it, or disregard it.
