I'm looking for recommendations for good 80s cartoons for toddlers. Essentially looking for toons that are violence free. No scary bad guys. A moral would be nice.

I very incredibly enthusiastically second "The Raccoons" and "Muppet Babies"- some of my favorite 1980s cartoons ever- and both most always deliver good morals and positive values too. "The Get Along Gang" and "My Little Pony" (and the later "My Little Pony Tales" and ?strawberry Shortcake" would be some other good choices. (There are some villians in these cartoons, but nothing really scary or anything.) I would also recommend "Alvin & The Chipmunks" and "The Wuzzles". "Foofur" and "The Monichichis" are pretty cute too.

Muppet Babies looks good but I see it doesn't have a full DVD release.

Doing a little more research, Curious George and Berenstain Bears would be good options but again, no DVD release.

Oddly enough, the Get Along Gang was released as a "Best Of" DVD which is only missing a few episodes. Why they didn't release them all is a bit of a mystery.

Strawberry Shortcake is a good one for little girls but again I don't see a DVD release.

There is still a huge dearth of DVD releases of 80s toons. I get that a lot of them only have a small niche of fans and would be hard to justify with a general release, but why aren't more companies at least going the Warner On Demand route?

As a longtime Muppets fan (and Jim Henson in general fan)- I'd love to see Muppet Babies get a full release on DVD- but it's a trickier one to do because it used so many video clips from different TV shows and movies, etc. I imagine there are a number of video and music rights clearances involved.
However, some episodes have made it to DVD- a few years back, some Muppet Babies plush toys were released and they included a bonus DVD with an episode or two.
Otherwise, there are some various episodes that have been released to VHS. If you are interested, you can check out the Muppet Wiki entry for the various home video releases for Muppet Babies. (http://muppet.wikia.com/wiki/Category:Muppet_Babies_Video)

Curious George and The Berenstain Bears are excellent choices- I would definitely recommend those as well. They are both excellent book series as well of course- I particularly love the Berenstain Bears. Very Happy Cool

For Strawberry Shortcake, the original first two specials from the 1980s have been released to DVD.

(I got this one for my niece a while back and she really loved it.)

I don't know what the deal with The Get Along Gang is- a "Best Of" set was released that only lacked a few episodes for it to be a complete DVD set- the producer said they were trying to get all the episodes- I imagine there may have been a possible rights issue or just trying to locate all the episodes or something.

I thought of one other '80s cartoon that would be a good one for this category- The Charlie Brown and Snoopy Show- and it has gotten a full DVD release.

Nice! Those are all great shows too, neko.
From that list, I particularly like "GLO Friends" and "Shirt Tales"- I definitely second those recommendations too- great '80s cartoons! (Too bad neither are on DVD yet- though some episodes have been released to VHS.)
