I've noticed a dearth of 80s cartoons airing on television today. Let this thread be for the posting of the channel and time at which 80s cartoons can be found on television. I will start a second thread for 80s cartoons which can be found on Netflix, Hulu, Amazon or any other internet service.

well the Hub, which is co-owned by Hasbro, shows Transformers, GI Joe, and Jem but when they show them keeps changing and sometimes they go off all together but come back later.

Yeah, I was going to mention The Hub- that channel has been one of the biggest boons for '80s fans in a while- it is one of the few that I know of that plays a number of 1980s cartoons and sitcoms as well.
Check www.hubworld.com for the current schedule of shows.

I checked the episode guide for the next week on Hub and didn't see any 80s toons on the schedule. I did however get stuck watching an episode of Alf for the first time in eons.

I have no hate for the Alf-meister. It's a very 80s tv show. Sad how little of 80s TV can still be found on cable. Thankfully, we have DVDs of so many of them and oftentimes for cheap.

Oh, okay- that's cool. Yeah, it's a shame more quality 1980s shows aren't on cable, but at least a lot of them are on DVD now. And The Hub still shows some classics like "ALF" and has shown others in the past- "The Wonder Years", "Doogie Howser, M.D.", "Family Ties" and "The Facts of Life". And Nickelodeon (i.e. Nick at Nite) still has "Full House". And "The Cosby Show" and "The Golden Girls" are still on TVLand, I do believe....

Maybe in technical terms of quality, shows today are better- and that makes sense. But in terms of writing and moral values, I tend to find older shows of much better quality.
They are some currently airing TV shows that I like- but they are very few in number. What are TRPs?
