cartoon pilot dog - NOT Muttley

I recently bought some animation cels and drawings, and among them is a drawing of a cartoon dog, perhaps a collie or a Newfie, who is wearing a pilot cap and goggles. It is NOT Muttley. The style is more like Talespin, or Rescue Rangers. I thought that perhaps he was from Dog City, but a check of all listed characters there was unsuccesfull. I'm new here and don't think I can upload pictures. Perhaps I could email it to anyone interested?

Hrm. It could be from talespin (based solely on the fact that Talespin is all about flying and he has flying goggles). He has a smile so it would be a friend but it would probably be a sub character. Send me a picture? I can post it here for everyone else.

The animation style does remind of "Talespin"... I don't recall that character based on your avatar though. (But "Talespin" is an awesome cartoon, by the way.) Very Happy

You might want to try a reverse image search to see if this has popped up anywhere else- check out www.tineye.com for that.

Unfortunately no result for a reverse image search, I had already tried the google one, but also tineye couldn't deliver Sad

I'm glad, though, you also think of Disney, and most likely Talespin. This might give me an excuse to watch all episodes again!

Does look like something Disney, but the fully body shot makes me doubt it's Talespin as he appears to be wearing the helmet and nothing else. as I recall on Talespin the characters wore clothes.

Perhaps Rescue Rangers?

It is also possible he is not a pilot at all but just wears the cap and goggles.

So I've been watching a lot of Tale Spin and Rescue Rangers with absolutely no luck. And then this suddenly comes up for sale on EBay. So apparently not a Disney character!

Cool- glad you found it then. I wonder if it wasn't a Disney animator that did the work on the piece though- it looks so similar to their style. Anyway, glad to have the mystery solved.
