hello
pretty neat place you have here, hope somebody can help me with this one.
looking for a "movie" or "short" I guess would be more accurate. can't remember if the block characters talked, or how they communicated. I thnk it may have been sign language or facial expressions or something... I don't even remember if it was a cartoon I suppose it may have been claymation, perhaps?
I remember it being very moving to me a child, it was violent, but not. I know i'm being very vague here but it's very vague in my memory.
I'm trying to think of other clues. I remember there was an overall sadness about it. like war is bad or something like that. and it might have been red vs blue. again I can't remeber if they were blocks, or dots, or squishy type "Barbapapa" type shapes.
pls ask questions it might help me think of more describers. If somebody can nail it with just what I have typed here, I would be pretty impressed.
thanks in advance.

just to add:
it more likely would been produced earlier than the 80s, but I know I saw it on Canadian TV when I was a child in early 80s, or possibly the late 70s.
and it might have been narrated, I definitely remember there was a "Morale of the story" type ending.
