What cricket game are you playing? I have seen some cricket video games from Electronic Arts that are pretty cool. Cool
But when I play a sports video game, I usually like basketball and soccer games- but I also enjoy some football and baseball and tennis and golf and skateboarding and ice hockey games too, for that matter.
Here are a few classics I like from different systems, including some from the 1980s and others from later years-

Arcade/Odyssey
Does Pong count for table tennis? Smile

NES
Blades of Steel (all time favorite ice hockey game)
Double Dribble (classic basketball game)
California Games (sort of an extreme sports game with skateboarding, etc.)
Duckhunt (the only hunting game I would ever list- lol Laughing )
Excitebike (Probably one of the few racing games I would list- I don't get big into many racing games, but this is a really cool dirtbike racing game that lets you build your own courses!)
Jordan vs. Bird (classic basketball matchup, though I'm kinda surprised there wasn't a Magic vs. Bird, as that would seem a more appropriate rivalry)

Sega Game Gear
Joe Montana's Football
Sports Illustrated Baseball & Football (two sports in one!)
World Series Baseball
NBA Jam (fun basketball game with 2 on 2 classic NBA team matchups)
NBA Action starring David Robinson (for more of a true 5 on 5 basketball experience with classic NBA teams)
Fred Couples' Golf
Wimbledon Tennis
Olympic Gold: Barcelona '92 (Summer Olympics)
Winter Olympics: Lillehammer '94 (Winter Olympics)
FIFA Soccer '96
NHL All Star Hockey

PC
NBA Live 2003 (This may be available with other versions too, but I particularly like this one because it offers the chance to play not only as current NBA teams as of 2003, but also as a classic team, drawing players from the '50s through today- including legends like Bob Cousy, Bill Russell, Robert Parish, Kevin McHale and my all time favorite- Larry Bird. Smile I love that I can pretty much build a classic Boston Celtics team with this game. And of course I love other classic players like "Dr. J" Julius Erving, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Earvin "Magic" Johnson, James Worthy and so many others.)
FIFA: Road to World Cup '98
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater series
Cricket '97 (I remember playing this a while back- very fun to even find a cricket video game and as always, Electronic Arts does a great job with it. There are some more recent ones in this series too.)

Super Tecmo Bowl(american football) for NES is one of my favorite sports games of all time. First game to keep season stats and use real NFL players. I still play it when I don't want to play the complex Madden games on 360.

Nice! As you can tell, though I do like some newer video games, I love getting out the classic video game systems too. Smile Cool

Sad to say I really loved Nintendo Ice Hockey. My absolute favorite game was Pat Riley basketball for Sega.

Tecmo always had great sports games. The game that I still play and love more then anything to this day is Super Dodgeball, it is a must!

Yeah I loved Tecmo's games too.

For modern consoles, the NBA street series was the most fun for me.

That's cool, man. I think I may have played a NBA street style game some time ago... I like the more standard NBA video games myself, but it's all good.
And welcome to the forums, Invaders! Thanks for posting here. Very Happy Cool (And from your user name, I assume you're coming in from (outer) space? Wink )

Baseball (1987, Nintendo). I dont think this is the best sport game by any means, but it still has its charm. As a kid, I spent hours just looking at the white circle (that was supposed to be the ball) and trying to either hit it or catch it with my D-Pad.

I think that the factor that really make this game stand out from the other half million baseball titles out there is its changing difficulty. I cant even count how many times I ended up losing an otherwise perfect game just because the computer felt like join the game at the very last minute Razz
