haha here we go again. all trekkers are are insecure trekkies. man, i hope they make another movie!

Well, there was a whole documentary called "Trekkies" that much of the casts of the various Star Trek shows were involved in (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0120370/) so that's another reason I lean toward "Trekkie".

actually there were two documentaries on "trekkies." personally i'm a "next generation" guy myself.

Yeah- I never watched either one- lol, but I've heard of them.
And "Star Trek: The Next Generation" is my favorite of all the Star Trek series- mainly because I grew up watching it as a kid in the '80s- but I love all the others too.

The last thing I heard is William Shatner to break a convention on the stage, when asked this question in the past month or so. Poor guy. I grant a new generation, or deep space nine kinds of guys, but Shatner is the "Star Trek."
