Bionic1 was an agent in the near future with bionic enhancements. His wife and family(consisting of four adopted children) were all severely injured in an avalanche and exposed to alien radiation from a strange ship that had been discovered nearby. The accident left them all in a coma. His entire family clung to life and their only hope was to undergo the same bionic enhancement. Each came through the bionic process with a specialized skill as well as super physical abilities.

their main enemies were the mad doctor Scarab, the brother of the creator of the bionic process, the ambitious second in command Glove, Klunk, Madamme O, Chopper(the "Zoom Zoom" guy), and Mechanic. Scarab created a bionic team of villains with less than ideal results. The subjects were given enhanced strength, but each one of them came through with some degree of deformity.
