Every one remembers the female villains from Jem, G.I. Joe, He-Man, and She-Ra.
But what about the other cartoons? How many female evil-doers were there in the 80s?
Visionaries- Virulina
Sky Commanders- Dr. Erica Slade
Rainbow Brite- The Princess
C.O.P.S.- Nightshade and Ms. Demeanor
M.A.S.K.- Vanessa Warfield
Lady Lovely Locks - Duchess Ravenwaves
Bionic Six - Madame O
Beverly Hills Teens - Bianca Dupree
Spiral Zone - Duchess Dire
That's all I can think of, but there must have been more.

Katrina (with her cat, Catgut) in Pound Puppies.
Mother Brain from Captain N (YAY! Finally on DVD).
Evil Scowlene and her daughter Scowlette from Moondreamers.
Nastina the spider from Rose Petal Place.
Oh, and can't forget the ones from My Little Pony: The Movie.
The old hag in The Smurfs.
Sour Grapes from Strawberry Shortcake.
Diabolyn from Wildfire.

For the "Smurfs":
There was Hogatha, who was evil but also funny, because
she was bald and had to wear a wig.
And there was Chlorhydris, who was even more vil and
more powerful.
Also, Smurfette began life as a villian, but that doesn't really
count.

Good thread.
Let's see some other female villains from the 80s that I remember.
Apparitia and Misteria from Filmation's Ghostbusters
Vipra from Bravestarr
The Queen from Galaxy Rangers
Zarana (Zartan's sister) from G.I. Joe
Catra, Scorpia, Shadow Weaver, Entrapta and Octivia from She-Ra
That's all I can think of, but I am sure there are more.

I loved Duchess Ravenwaves so, so much when I was a kid!
Some others that come to mind are:
Sheba, Sweet Sea
Karina, Dungeons and Dragons (she's cool, too <3)
Zinn, Dungeons and Dragons
Tempesta, TMNT
Shreeka (sp?), TMNT
Nightbird, Transformers
Does undead Sandra Shore count, or is she in the same pseudo-villain category as Smurfette and Mumm-Rana? Either way, she was as good at being a villain as a hero._________________

The only others I find on the web so far are:
Mrs. Snarly and Kitten Kaboodle from TaleSpin
Lady Bane, The Spinster and Marzipan from Disney's Adventures of the Gummi Bears
Wondezarro from The Super Powers Team: Galactic Guardians
Lil' Seaweed from Snorks
If I find more, I will post them._________________

Sorry to bump such an old thread, but I just remembered someone who definitely deserves mention: Wat, from The Real Ghostbusters. Mrs. Roger's Neighborhood was one of my favorite episodes of any show when I was a kid, and Wat's got some impressive box of tricks (as well as a genuinely scary true form, and while the series was still on network TV, too!), so it's a wonder I didn't think of her before._________________

What a great thread!
I was going to say Mother Brian and Shadow Weaver, but people have already mentioned them. How about Pythona from GI Joe? Pythona and Shadow Weaver were actually a lot alike in appearance and the way they talked.
People also said Melodia and Madame-O, both of which were awesome characters. Melodia was like the punk rockers of the day. |

Cruella De Ville - One Hundred and One Dalmations
Maleficent - Sleeping Beauty
Ursula - The Little Mermaid
they are too few coz what's comes into my head right now is the modern villain...^_^ |
