ive been trying to remember the name of a cartoon for years
giant robots with silver (good guys) or gold (bad guys) human shaped brains in clear capsules on their heads
the good guys were trying to find a transport ship carrying the last of humanity across earth turned all desert and the bad guys were trying to stop them.
the lead bad guy was a tyrannosaurus Rex (think it was supposed to be blind) and he has a pterodactyl on his shoulder that directed it where to go.
the toy of that one shot plastic discs out of its chest
any help on this one?

I haven't seen any evidence that the animated series
ever aired.
I assume that the animated clips in the commercials were
clipped from a cartoon which wasn't aired in the U.S. market..
The style looks like it was made by Sunbow/Marvel
(Inhumanoids, Spiderman and his Amazing Friends
Transformers,GI Joe,Robotix,Sectaurs, Visionaries etc.)

there was a cartoon, part of Super Sunday.
