Any ideas on possible 80s cartoon with lack of detail sorry

Im an eighties child so am 90% sure the cartoon im after is of the eighties although, my memories a bit lackin on detail, all i remember is a group of people being on a differant planet with aliens at one point they compete in a type of olympics the alien running hurdles had 3 legs. Then a fight started and for weapons the humans grabbed some plants/veg. Its the only scene i can picture. Not much to go on has been doing my head in for ages now hope someone can help.

I remember this cartoon feature on HBO around the mid eighties.It was made by a French studio.
Baron Munchausen and his crew go to the moon in search of the secret of immortality. They meet the natives of the moon, the Selenites. The Selenites are generaly friendly people whose heads aren't attached to their bodies. During Munchausen's visit the Selenites are attacked by evil little green invaders. He and his crew use their special gifts to fend off the invaders
