Old cartoon, can't remember the name....

If anyone can remember the name of this cartoon, please contact me via e-mail (dereefer@yahoo.com).........

The basic premise of the show was a teenager running around wearing a red coat. At some point in every show, he would morph into a red car, his mouth would become the grill of the car and his hands and feet would become the tires.

Thats about all i can remember about the cartoon. I am eager to find out the name and find copies if there are any out there. Please send all info to the above listed e-mail adress. Thank you.........

Pretty common question on this board

Try,

Turbo Teen (84)
A teen looses control of his sports car while drag racing. He skids off the road and crashes through the wall of a top secret goverment laboratory. At that exact moment, an experimental fusion ray was being tested. He and his car are caught within the ray and he's fused with his car.
After the accident, he's able to transform from human to auto when his body temperature is high. He decides to use his new ability to fight crime.
