Okay, I normally just mention releases of 1980s cartoons on DVD, in keeping with the name and nature of the site and all. Wink

But WOW!- Have you all seen all the '80s sitcoms that are being released to DVD? And I don't mean just the more mainstream hits- there's some pretty obscure stuff coming out too!
I mean- I've been pretty happy to see Full House get released in its entirety because it's one of those '80s sitcoms I grew up watching and I can happily watch over and over again.
The Cosby Show is out in its entirety on DVD- and I would definitely say the Complete Series set would be the way to go- the Season 1 DVDs have been fixed so that they are now uncut on the Complete Series release set!
And another favorite- Family Ties- is quick on its way to getting all the seasons out on DVD. Season 5 is coming March 10, 2009 by the way! (see cover art here- hey, they finally used the classic green "Family Ties" logo from the show!)

And Charles in Charge has gotten Seasons 1-3 out- I hope Seasons 4-5 will follow soon! I love that show! Very Happy

And other series have gotten started that I still hope will be completed someday- like
Who's The Boss? (Season 1 has been out for a while now. Where's Seasons 2-8?)
Growing Pains (Got Season 1, now we need Seasons 2-7)
Perfect Strangers (It was great getting Seaons 1-2, now let's get Seasons 3-8!)
and it started in the '70s- 1978 to be exact
but I'd love to see Diff'rent Strokes get Seasons 3-8 released too!
At least another '70s favorite- Happy Days, still seems to be moving along- Season 4 just recently released- hopefully Seasons 5-11 won't be too far behind!
And I was pretty amazed when I saw Bosom Buddies get released a while back- that's now out in its entirety on DVD. (well, it might still have some music edited, etc.- but all the episodes have been released)

But check out the latest offerings for next year-
My Two Dads and Mr. Belvedere! YES! Seriously- both are coming to DVD from Shout! Factory! WOW!
That is so cool- I haven't seen either show in quite a while- but I grew up loving these as a kid. It will be totally awesome to see them and enjoy them again!
My Two Dads- Season 1 on March 3, 2009!

Mr. Belvedere-Seasons 1 and 2 on March 17, 2009!

Very Happy Cool

I definitely looking forward to Mr. Belvedere and My Two Dads.

Hopefully shows like Head Of The Class, Out Of This World and My Secret Identity will get the DVD releases this year as well.
